What's specific age got to do with it?

Most of the "Senior" dating sites ask for a specific age when you fill out your profile. Why should they?

Since when does Chronological age truly define a person over 50? There are 50 somethings who look and act like 70 and 70 somethings who look and act like 60. Over 60 or 60+ should be the only question on Chronological age. Let the couple meet (they can always see a recent photo on the profile)and judge for themselves whether chronological age is a meaningless number!!
