What Was THAT All About?

I'm a female, now in my 60s, and as I think about how naive I was in my 40s, it really scares me. I answered a personal ad in the newspaper. The guy called me back, and we had a nice, friendly conversation. We agreed to meet at The Keg in Bellevue, WA, for a light dinner and then if all went well, we would go to his favorite red neck bar in Snoqualmie. When I met him in the parking lot outside of The Keg, much to my surprise, he was driving a huge, fairly new, mint-condition gold Cadillac.

The evening went as planned, and with a little more alcohol and darkness, we became increasingly kissy-faced. Soon, we were into some very heavy petting in the car, but it stopped there. (What a gentleman!) This was before cell phones, and on the way back to the Keg's parking lot, he asked if I'd like to make a short stop to meet a friend of his in Bellevue.

Even though it was 3 a.m., he was sure she'd be up. A very nice-looking woman answered the door. She was pleasant looking, and she was nicely dressed in a dress and heels, and her makeup was impeccable, but she was not exactly Ms. Personality. She didn't seem particularly surprised to see my date. Her apartment was done in blue, with plush carpeting, low lighting, and an incredible view. We sat in her living room for awhile and had some pleasant conversation. After about 30 minutes, my date got up and we said goodbye.

What was that all about??? (I guess I'm still naive.)
