I have found love online a couple of times. Both times through social networking sites like myspace or facebook.

I tried free internet dating sites, but found they were loaded with people who were not like me. Lots of people who lack social skills, or who had issues with jobs or money. Basically losers.

Because of the nature of social networking sites, I actually got to know the person fairly well before we ever met. We knew each others likes and dislikes, discovered things about each others morals, and family. When you meet someone out in public, its kind of hit or miss. You really don't know anything about them, and it takes weeks or even months to discover if that person is right for you, but when online, you can search and find others who already have the same interests as you.

I have found that it was a good way also to screen out the "crazies". I don't think that its for everyone, online dating that is, but for me it has been great. I truly love my partner and I am glad that I tried it.
