Single Muslim is a non-profit, easy-to-use Muslim matrimonials site, with over 200,000 members worldwide.

SingleMuslim isn't a Muslim dating site in the traditional sense of the word. This matrimonial site is designed for those serious about finding a compatible Muslim spouse. Not for casual dating.

Women's memberships are free (you get access to site features only paying members can access).

We always start out with a narrow search when checking to see how many mature singles a site has. Good results on a narrow search indicate that there are plenty of members overall.

We found more than 1000 male profiles (the maximum the site will display at one time) aged 43-44, more than 1000 aged 53-54, 218 profiles aged 63-64, and 24 profiles aged 73-74.

Female profiles had similar results; lots of members in their 40s and 50s, fewer as you get into 60s and 70s, but still respectable numbers.

There were more than 1000 women aged 43-44, and 314 female profiles aged 53-54. There are 240 women enrolled between the ages of 60-75.

On signup, you're asked to specify which branch of Islam you belong to, ie. Sunni, Sufi, "Just Muslim", etc. Members are asked to say whether they prefer the hijab, whether they keep Halaal, their beard preferences, whether they're a revert, views on Salaah.

Members' intentions are covered as well. Everyone is quizzed as to why they joined the site, whether they've ever been married, whether they have children or not, and a timeframe within which they'd like to marry.

You can choose to search by any of these criteria; greatly increasing your chances of finding someone like-minded.

Open to: Worldwide - but predominantly from UK, USA, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, UAE, Morocco and Saudi Arabia. Single Muslim is launching different national websites, to avoid you having to search worldwide for matches. You may be redirected to one of them, depending on what you input when you first join.

There's the option of a Private Gallery. This ensures your privacy, in that you approve members before they see your photos.

The Single Muslim site administrators take spam and fake profiles seriously, they monitor sign-ups closely, and have given users the tools to report anyone not adhering to the strict behavioural standards of the site.

This is a Muslim matrimonial site, not a Muslim dating site. This is made clear on sign up, and the site members seem to be uniformly nice and intelligent people.
