Senior Year and Prom

So it was my senior year and prom was only 3 months away. I would like to say that I had a date but that would be a lie. For as long as i could remember I never did have any real friends who were girls, let alone girlfriends. This changed in my last year. She was the prettiest girl in my class. Long hair, slender arms. It took me 3 months to ask her out. To my amazement, she actually said yes.

We agreed to meet at my dad's restaurant. Of course I didn't tell her that my dad owned the shop. The logic was that it would be a lot cooler if I walk in there and show that the entire staff treats me like royalty. This however was a huge mistake.

It began well enough. I picked her up from her place, and along the way I noticed a black van following us. I paid no attention to it however as when we arrived at the shop, it just drove off. The dinner went fine, my breath didn't stink, no bits of vegetables in my teeth. Then she spoke up:" Daniel, I'm having a great time and I don't know how to say this but could you close your eyes for a while?"

I obliged thinking she was going to smooch me. Then what seemed like 5 hours went by and I decided to open my eyes. When I opened, I saw her outside the shop with the black van behind her. She was laughing hysterically. Then I saw the driver of the van come out. It was the bully of my class. She embraced him and gave him a nice long passionate kiss and they both drove off.

My heart was broken. And to make things worse, The bill came up to 100 bucks. My part of the meal only cost 15.
