Sarah Harmer - Will He Be Waiting For Me

My favourite Country Music love song has to be "Will He Be Waiting for Me" which was written by Dolly Parton, but I prefer the Sarah Harmer version.

For several years I was in a long distance relationship with my girlfriend (now my wife) and we only saw each other during the summer and around Christmas. The rest of the year we were in school and a thousand miles away from each other.

The song really connected with me since even though we truly loved other, we were never absolutely certain that we'd still find be able to connect and continue on with our relationship after spending many months apart.

Would we still be the same people, or would we have changed over that time and drifted apart? There was no way to know until we actually met up again, and that's similar to the theme of the song. Would we still be there, would we still be waiting to fall into each others' arms?

We hope so, and I think deep down we know we will, but there's always that bit of doubt which never quite goes away.
