To me it reminds me of love. I would hear this song when I was younger and it would just make me think so much. I remember thinking how strong I will be in any situation. I loved how empowering the song made me feel.

My mother would play it for me all of the time until one day she gave me my own copy. I remember putting it into my walkman and going for bike rides.

It reminds me of love. It reminds me that no matter how much you love someone, sometimes you have to walk away. Love can be hurtful. Love can be tender.



This song still invokes so many emotions in me. I think it is so powerful.

 Eye-tearin' pow'ful

I heard this song,it was already in a hot(?) ipod that I got, full of mediocre tracks that had me wondering who wastes the musical enjoyment opportunity of a gadget like this, and was cherrypicking and compiling from ok to so-so songs on playlists so I can sit back and listen without having to zap loser tracks.

Was taking days but I was on the job. And then fifteen minutes ago inevitably, I guess, I stumble on Fancy.

Fancy,...Fancy,... Fancy,man!

I'm only drying up now, to write this posting!


At first hearing, I took notice because I can tell a hit when I hear one, I guess like most everyone who enjoys music. But as I made out what the story was about, I started tearing up, then I got a serious lump in my throat, then got sniffly, the works!, and as I kept enjoying the song, none of that would stop.

It stayed strong because this powerful song is so pithy that the impact of the story remains strong. I have yet to reflect on the story to find out why it touched my core so strongly.

By the way I should mention that Reba's singing talent had a lot to do with me taking notice to start with,and I love the southern accent as well,it's a sweet icing on the cake.
