Plus Sized in New York

I have been a chubby girl since I was little. Things had not changed upon entering adulthood. I am 5'3" and 210 pounds. In high school, no boy would look at me. I was friends with nice dorky guys. But no one would ask me out. I took my brother with me for senior prom. When I went out on weekend nights, I would always be the last person who got a date.

I moved from Midwest to west coast recently when I was 30. I dated more often in the Big Apple. It seems that guys here are more open-minded. This was the opposite of what I have thought would have happened. But I did have one date who told me he just wanted to know what it was like to be with a big girl.

I had given up the idea of getting married and decided not to have any children and I couldn't remember when was the last time I went out on a date.

Now I am 42.
