Picnic at the Beach

The best date that I have ever been on was a trip to a nearby beach with my current boyfriend. We had been dating for about three months at the time, and he had promised me that he was going to take me somewhere nice that weekend. When he showed up, I was actually wearing a casual dress because I had figured that "somewhere nice" meant that I should dress well. He would not admit to me where we were going, but made me change into shorts.

It wasn't until we pulled into the parking lot that I actually knew we were going to the beach. He had a picnic basket in the back filled with my favorite foods, so we started the afternoon off by eating on our towels in the sun. We then cooled off in the waves. He was in a great mood that day and very playful. He kept splashing me an getting me wet! After some Frisbee, we dried off and went home, laughing the whole way. I'll never forget that afternoon.
