New Age Dating

I am back in the dating market again at the age of 59.

The time where it was easy to find someone your age that interest you seems to have passed. Once I meet someone it seems they have habits which are not to my liking and as the words of the wise have said,"it is hard to teach an old dog a new trick".

Needless to say, I move on when I find out things that are disturbing to me since you can't change the habits anyway. I try to get to know the person at least for 3 months now to ascertain if they have any qualities that are worth the time getting dressed up for in the first place.

The only problem with being an adult and dating at this age, men expect you to be more interested in sex sooner than when I was younger. I guess the fact that women have had children, are experienced in sex makes men seem to believe we are easier to bed.

I have been taking my time to get to know one person in particular and found that the longer you put off meeting, the more you learn about the person and can tell if that person is compatible for to sustain a relationship.

I am in a relationship with this man at this time and am still learning his actions/reactions, likes/dislikes and hope that all will come together in the end. I do look forward to seeing him and miss his presence a lot, there has been talk about getting together, but, I am taking it one day at a time.
