My On-line Romance

I was younger back then, but I was like all other teens. Using Messenger to chat... Every day after work (I worked in McDonald's), I did my school homework express way, locked myself in my room and turned on my PC. I remember it like it was yesterday.

That particular day, I logged in my MSN Messenger account and noticed that some idiot added me. He clicked me and just said ''Hi!''. And I was like ''Who the hell are you?'' And he just sent me a smiley. We then started to chat and he was unbelievably humorous and intriguing. But he didn't want to tell me who he was, not even his name! And that made me so mad. But he was so great to talk to. We were chatting every day for three years!! And then he went on 2 week vacation and in that time I was so depressed and just couldn't quite figure it out ''Why?''

And suddenly it hit me! I was totally in love! When he finally got back, I asked him again, who he is, and said that I wouldn't like him if I knew. So I said: ''Don't you think it's a little late for that?!''. So we arranged a meeting and when I saw him my jaw practically dropped to the ground just like you see in cartoons.

It was my co-worker from McDonald's. The one I had an enormous crush on since the first day I saw him. I felt so lucky.

Now we're together for seven years now and have a baby together and I still don't know why he thought I wouldn't like him. The funny part is that that's the same thing I thought about him when I saw him for the first time. I never thought that I could fell in love with someone over the Internet, but I did and now I think that it's even better to get to know someone first non-personally, because you don't have that fear of rejection.
