My Email Romance

I met my husband online. I was using Myspace at the time, and I received an email from a stranger. I read his email, but I thought it was unsafe to respond to a stranger. I let the email sit in my inbox. I was cleaning out my inbox a few months later, and I came across his email. I decided to give it a try. I really wanted to meet someone new, and he did sound nice and sincere. Our first emails through Myspace were short.

As we got to know each other better, they became longer. I would wake up early in the mornings to check my inbox to see if he had written me. February came around, and I decided to tell him that I love him. We had never met in person yet since he was overseas in the military. I told him on Valentine’s Day, but I received no response. I was devastated and embarrassed.

I decided to not talk to him anymore because I thought he did not love me too. We did not talk for about 2 months, and then one day there was a knock on my door. It was him! He wanted to tell me in person that he loved me too. It was so sweet, and I forgave him. We got married 6 months later.
