Mobile Phones & Rude Users

What annoys me are people who shout into their mobile phones in restaurants, or even worse, let them ring in cinemas and concerts. Morons.

Whatever happened to talking to people in person? It must be really tiring, being in contact by email, Blackberry, or straining one's fingers texting, 24 hours a day.

I carry a mobile, but only use it if I'm going to be late, or have broken down somewhere.

There's something to be said for NOT being contactable.

It's peaceful.

It means I can pursue rather old fashioned pastimes in blissful silence; like reading real books, and listening to BBC2 on the radio without endless distractions. I'm sounding more and more like Miss Marple as I write, I know!
