Meryl Streep - Talented, Smart, and Beautiful

Two words: Meryl Streep.

The reason why it's so easy to adore her should be simple enough, and can be narrowed down to a few words--talented, smart, natural, down-to-earth and beautiful. She has quite a lot going for her, what with her long list of awards and numerous accolades from the critics and public alike.

She can make any film charming or intense with her striking presence. She plays her characters with depth and honesty.

To be honest, I've only watched her most recent films--and most of them romantic comedies. But I did love her in every single one of them, and I love the fact that she has a huge back list of movies that I can go back to and savour her performances in. From what I heard, she's a consummate actress.

I don't pay much attention to the aging actor/actress population so I can't quite say who is aging well and who isn't, but I can safely say that Ms. Streep is progressing through her years very nicely.

And I wholeheartedly agree that I'd love to possess the same vitality and liveliness that Ms. Streep has when I'm her age!
