Love Story - Where Do I Begin - Francis Lai

My all time favourite song is “Love Story” (“Where Do I Begin”), with music by Francis Lai and lyrics by Carl Sigman.

I love this song not because I was in love at that time but because the time, I got to know the song, was the most difficult time in my life and the song helped me.

I was a college student. That time I found it difficult to have peace with myself and others. I was very lonely and was seeking desperately for help and understanding but there was nothing that could make me happy.

Once our music teacher decided to learn a song with our group. And it was That Song.

I loved it from the first notes and from the first words. We learnt and sang it in the group. We all got to like it a lot. I guess, for everybody it was a special song as each of us had our own Story.

Each time when I hear it, it fills my heart with so much tenderness and makes me believe that great music can cure your heart. I’m very thankful that music and songs have such great power.
