Long Distance Love

When I first started finding dates through websites online, I have to admit, I wasn’t impressed. Most of the men I met were only looking for sexual encounters and I met one man who even turned out to be married! I was so disgusted after that incident that I vowed to never meet someone from an online dating service again!

After a couple years had passed I grew lonelier and decided to give it one more shot. I signed up with a service that I didn’t know much about, but it seemed alright. There weren’t many people from my area, but I updated my profile everyday and waited.

One afternoon while I was at work I received a message from a guy who lived in West Virginia, which is quite a ways away from where I was located in Oregon. He said that his sister had seen my profile and thought that I would be a perfect match or him, but he had been scared to contact me because of our location differences.

I have never been too keen on long distance relationships, but he seemed like a really nice guy and so we started messaging back and forth most of all day every day. I think it must have been fate because his job transferred him to a work-site which was only 20 minutes away from my city.

We live together now and have been together for almost 3 years now. We plan to marry in the fall! I am so glad to have finally met the man of my dreams!
