Lee Greenwood's, "God Bless the USA" song and lyrics, consistently bring about feelings of pride and love for my country as well as for those who served to defend it, during Operation Desert Shield, Desert Storm.

It still does.

Although most Americans can sing all or a part of these famous lyrics, this song reminds me personally of the love I felt for so many of my special friends fighting the war.

During this time period, it summed up every feeling that so many of us felt but had difficulty expressing. This song will go down in history and hold the same importance as God Bless America for many.

At any given time this song was played, my friends and I stopped everything we were doing to pay homage while feeling overwhelmed at the love we felt for those who were defending us back home.

Most Americans, especially those who have served in the Armed Force, feel the same way. It is our Anthem.
