It's Been So Many Years

Dear Barb,

It's been so many years! There are so many things I want to say and ask and I have no idea where to begin.

I suppose the first thing I should do is offer my apologies and ask for your forgiveness, the years that have passed have allowed me to reflect on the circumstances surrounding the terrible day when we parted ways, and I see that my actions then were wrong.

With that out of the way, I've had a few ups and down over the years, had a few brief flings, but I've never found a person as wonderful as you were, and are.

I still think of your words of wisdom and feel blessed that our paths have crossed, though it wasn't obvious at the time I now know that my life was greatly enriched by your presence in it.

Remember your 5 sayings for life? I thought they were a little silly at the time but I now appreciate them for the gift they really are. Thank you.

Anyway, I hope we can be together again, if not as lovers, as friends and soulmates.

You will forever hold a special place in my heart.
