I'm Plus Sized, and Shy

Not only am I plus sized, but I am shy. So both of these have affected my dating and social life. I do believe that the bigger obstacle is my shyness and if not for that I may have been more successful in dating. I see women of all sizes dating and marrying successfully. But I have not had that same success.

I am 48, and so far I don't think I have experienced age-ism. I am not sure I have experienced much size-ism. but then because I am shy I have not put myself out there in the world like others have. In school I was treated terribly by other kids because of my size. I have not ever met anyone suitable on a plus size dating website.

I will say that after being involved in BBW-Big Beautiful Women social groups, I have gained some self confidence
