I'll Never Leave Your Side

My Love, although, we only met a relatively short time ago, I believe I love you more than I have loved any one in my life.

Sometimes, I ask myself, 'how is that possible'?

I don't know the answer to that question. When I first saw you sitting across the way and as we later found out, we were both just calmly looking at one another as we talked on the phone to our Mothers. What a coincidence, uh?

I didn't mean to stare as usually, I am a very polite person. It's just that I could not seem to focus on any thing else other than you.

I remember feeling very calm as I watched you. It wasn't until I realized what I was doing that I felt, well, a tad bit embarrassed.

I remember telling a couple of girlfriends about you and how you probably thought I was some sort of weirdo, just staring at you. Of course, we all laughed.

I remember seeing you for the second time in my life and our eyes caught rather close up as we were passing one another. I actually smiled at you, which was unusual for me as I had not had another man catch my attention the way you did in a very, very long time.

Actually, I had given up on the possibility of ever loving or even wanting to love again. My last experience was most unpleasant, to say the least.

We met at an outside party at what is now called 'Our BeachPark', by the ocean on a Sunday, early afternoon. I arrived first and introduced myself, to others around me ,which is also a little out of the ordinary as I am a little shy.

I made small talk for about fifteen minutes with the people there when I looked up and there you were. I said to myself, there he is. I later learned you said the same about me. You offered me a beverage and I accepted. We did not notice any one else at that little baby boy's birthday party at the beach from then on.

I remember you saying, I will never leave your side. You have not. I will never leave yours.
