I Found Love Online

"Can you find love online?" I believe that this is an easy question to answer because I have in fact found love online. Everyone talks about the fact that meeting strangers or someone that you do not know is very risky and probably not a good idea, but with all of the online dating sites, it is very hard not to try them.

I, on the other hand, did not try the online dating sites. I found the love of my life through MySpace. This is not something that I tend to brag about because so many people look down upon you if you meet someone over the Internet and then begin a relationship. I did just that. I had been talking to a guy through little Instant Messages for about 6 months before we decided to meet and after we finally did, everything just clicked and we began to date.

After about a year from the first time I had spoke to him, I introduced my children to him and he has been great with them. I guess that it really just depends on how mature each of you are if things can go further than just being friends. Even though my situation turned out to be fine, everyone should take precautions when meeting ANYONE from online.

I am so pleased to read the story about meeting their future partner on line. However, my experience is so many men and women have commitment phobia with 'phone calls, messaging etc turn out to be a complete waste of time.

Recently I was contacted by a man, spoke to him on the phone, wrote emails and then an arrangement to meet came up and I agreed. He phoned on the morning to check if I was meeting him and I said YES and followed up with an email confirming and spent time doing other things and then set off for the meeting. He didn't show up. On arriving home I checked my inbox and he had sent a message saying "I've decided not to meet you today".

He blocked me from looking at him on the website and also his email address. Why? Why didn't he have the guts to make a phone call and say he had changed his mind instead of hiding away behind his keyboard.
