Geek 2 Geek is one of those sites. The site's founder describes geekiness as an intense interest in something that isn't typical. Which makes most of us geeks of one kind or another. You fill in a fairly comprehensive multi-choice questionnaire about your genre interests, then a top 3 drop down list of things that are important to you ie. children (or not), smoker (or not), drinker (or not), sense of humour, body type, relationship status, and more. Then you're asked to specify if the areas of interest you've just checked on your profile are required in your matches (you can check not important if you don't mind). From your home page you can view your profile, matches, winks, messages, your favourites, who you've blocked and view top rated profiles. You can also choose not to allow other members to rate your profile. There were 528 men aged between 40-50 on the site, 1531 aged 50-60, 194 aged 60-70, and 26 men between 70 and 80. There were 1622 women aged 40-50, 634 aged 50-60, 86 aged 60-70, and 7 profiles aged 70-80.
Not huge numbers like some of the big dating sites, but this is niche, after all.
