Don't Tell Me What to Do

I am a 60 yr old woman - retired and hating it. No independence. Have to cater to my husband's whims & fancies. I have just started an online homebased job. Hope I succeed as this is the only thing I am good at, rather better than him and he cannot tell me what to do.

I want to be independent without anyone telling me what to do. He is always having the tv control - well I have the computer control now. I don't want to grow old and all wrinkly and dependent on anyone for my basic needs. Wish I could die before I am 70 yrs and bed-ridden.

CHILDREN NOW-A-DAYS JUST DON'T WANT TO LISTEN TO THEIR PARENTS, THEY RATHER LISTEN TO WHAT THEIR FRIENDS SAY. At our time we valued rather accepted what our parents told us. It did not enter our minds to talk-back to our parents - now children just want to do what they want.
