We like:

It’s nice that that Date My Pet isn’t just a dating site. It’s a place where pet lovers can meet in a friendly environment and find like-minded friends (both animal and human). If you happen to be looking for a romantic partner, then that’s cool too. The vibe of this site is consequently quite different (in a good way) from most online dating sites.

We liked all the pet articles, and the fact that there are cute pet pictures everywhere you look.

It was really nice to see that the pets were given equal billing. They get their own photo and profile, shown side-by-side with their human.

The profiles are also nicely laid out (as is the whole site) and easy to read.

Even if you’re not looking for romance, this is a great venue in which to meet new friends.

There are a respectable number of over 40s on this site. There were over 600 men aged between 42-52, 300 men between 52-62, and fifty men between 62 and 80 (the highest age the search would allow),

There were over 1000 female members aged 42-52, over 1000 aged 52-62, and 85 profiles aged between 65-80. Considering this is a “niche” site, those are reasonable numbers.

We don’t like:

Nothing. Some might feel the lack of a live general chatroom, but this site has so much going for it that this didn’t bother us at all.
