Senior Dating Sites | Helping Senior People Meet

Date com has been around since 1997, so is one of the older web personals services and one of the top online dating sites.

As with most of the bigger, popular online relationship venues, they have an impressive website with lots to keep you amused.

There are free features that add value, like dating advice, and the usual high tech dating site tools (like web video) for Gold (paid) members to use.

We like:

It’s handy to be able to see how many people are online at Date com once you’ve logged in (over 4000 when we first signed on). It’s hard to tell how many members some dating sites have (if any!), so this is reassuring.

There are many specialized senior dating sites that can't boast that many members.

There were also a surprising number of matches in the reviewer’s home town (Back of Beyond, Ontario population 13,000), which we didn’t really expect.

They have some very high tech features for paid members (web video and audio instant messaging).

Although not geared specifically as a senior dating service, there are enough over 40s on this site to keep the mature single happy.

The site has a really nice web magazine (under Advice on the home page), with loads of articles and advice for the lovelorn. You can read this for free without even signing up.

We don’t like:

This site bills itself as the “premier free online dating service” but it’s really no more free than any of the other paid sites. You still need to pay to communicate with other members (other than flirting), so that’s a bit cheeky.

Susie was tired of being "cute".

She wanted to be a bad girl.
