Beware the CyberLover, aka Slutbot!

The CyberLover scam is a computer program that’s been developed by Russian cyber-criminals for nefarious purposes.

The sexbot (catchy name) lurks in sex chatrooms and mimics a real human being, attempting to get incautious users to reveal their personal details, which are then used to access the victim’s bank account.

As online dating scams go, you've got to give this one points for high-tech novelty.

The sexbot program can mimic a man or a woman, and will apparently tailor its answers to suit the responses it gets from victims. It's very lifelike, and can fool most people into thinking there?s a real human being on the other end.

This malware program is still reportedly limited to Russian sex chatrooms, but may well have gone global by 2010.

All the more reason to stick to reputable chat and dating sites, use common sense, and never give out your personal details online.

Russian dating scams are notorious but this one has a real James Bond feel to it.

Be good online (well, at least be careful), or the Sex Bot might get you.
