Christian Cafe: “All Christian. All Single.”

Christian Café.com was a pleasant surprise. Prior to signing up we’d not had any experience with Christian dating web sites, so weren't sure what to expect.

Christian Café dating has earned a good reputation online for being an honest, upright site which upholds Christian principles (and because it isn’t yet another dating site slapping a “Christian” label on itself in a cynical attempt to cash in on the Christian single personals market).

So we felt confident that Christian Café would uphold Christian values, but weren’t sure how much of a laugh the site was going to be.

That’s where they surprised us. Yes, they have a Christian code of practice and conduct that they expect their members to adhere to.

But they also show a refreshing ability to poke fun at themselves and their members, which made us smile.

Take the sign up questionnaire - they had the usual multiple choice questions, but many of the answer choices showed evidence of a tongue-in-cheek humour:

Occupation: “I’m a bum, okay?”

Salary: “I lend Bill Gates money.”

Eye Colour: “Twinkling.”

Fashion Sense: “I’m a Trekkie.”

Do you smoke: “Only when I’m on fire.”

Pet: “Unicorn” “Rodent of unusual size.”

We like:

Of all the dating websites we’ve reviewed, Christian Café displays the best sense of humour, which is refreshing in any online dating site (Christian or not) and makes the site fun to use.

The main premise of this Christian dating site is that of a virtual café where Christian senior singles can meet in a friendly and casual atmosphere (and the site’s coffee cup motif and golden brown colour scheme reflects that nicely).

We found a good selection of members in the age range we wanted (40-65+), in our area (Ontario).

Christian Cafe has a great reputation and always comes out on top of any list of Christian singles dating services.

Finding true love online can be a minefield. If you’re looking for an honest Christian senior chat room and dating service, you stand a good chance of finding someone who shares your faith and core values at Christian Café. Even if you have the dress sense of a Trekkie.
