I'm an black man in my late 40's and I work about 60 hours a week between 2 jobs. This workload makes it difficult to meet nice, interesting women for dates. One of my jobs is for customer service for a large retail company and we have full access to the internet while working.

My brother suggested trying out dating sites, because he knew how unhappy I was in life. I used cupid.com for awhile, but I ran into a barrier I sort of didn't think about: race. For the most part I haven't experienced much racism in my life, growing up in a mostly black area in Charlotte, NC.

This experience caused me to give up on dating sites for awhile, but I was still lonely so I thought to try out a 'black' dating site.

While I harbor no ill will towards white folk, I just wasn't interested in dating one, and with blackpeoplemeet.com I've met a few nice, down to earth women I've had the pleasure of entertaining and getting to know.
