The Beatles And I Love Her first came out in 1964 on their "A Hard Day's Night" album.

The song was largely written by Paul McCartney, with John Lennon claiming to have written significant bits of the middle.

It was inspired by Paul's then girlfriend, Jane Asher (now more famous for decorating cakes).It's been covered by various artists, including Bob Marley, Smokey Robinson, Diana Krall, and Barry Manilow.

"I have been a huge fan of the Beatles ever since I can remember, so I Want to Hold Your Hand and And I Love Her are amongst my favourite songs of all time. And I Love Her takes me back to the time I first saw the movie A Hard Days Night, we were learning about the 60s in my high school history class and being the last day of term, our teacher had decided we could watch a film so long as it was relevant to our current topic. I think this is where my love of the band first began, and it was this film that lead me to buy the One album by the Beatles, and this was when I first heard I Want To Hold Your Hand. Being a teenager in the 60s, my dad loved the fact that I was now interested in a band that he also liked, and so we now had something in common. Every year for my birthday and for Christmas it's almost certain that I will get some form of Beatles memorabilia, and whatever I unwrap, it always takes me back to when I first heard their song, and how much they have inevitably given me some amazing memories."
