A Walk on the Beach

The best date I've ever been on was actually one of the simplest ones.

I'd been single for a while and wasn't even looking for a relationship at the time, it just happened one day. I was walking along a local beach when someone's dog tried to follow me all the way home, it stayed a few steps behind me as I walked all the way down the beach and back and stayed with me as I started making my way towards the parking lot.

I walked back along the beach to try & find the owner and a few moments later a woman came running up to me to claim her dog. We expressed our relief at getting the dog situation taken care of and I made a joke about her dog trying to find a new owner.

We introduced ourselves and somehow we just really connected well with each other, I ended up joining her on the beach where we talked about everything from the lazy union city workers to why buying a house in Toronto doesn't make sense. It was just us on the beach talking about everything and getting to know each other.
