A Balmy Summer Night

My best date involved dinner at a lovely Mexican restaurant and then a few games of mini-golf on a balmy summer night. The restaurant was one of my favorites: good food, great margaritas, and reasonably priced. I always get the fajitas, and of course I love filling up on chips and salsa beforehand.

The conversation was fun & not too serious and very interesting, sometimes funny. After the meal (he paid!), we went to play several rounds of mini-golf. Neither of us was very good, but it is fun and relaxing and perfect to do on a summer night. When the sun sets, it is plenty cool to play. I like talking about the different ways to get a hole in one (although it never happened), and when he put his arms around me to help my swing, it was very romantic.

The night was topped off with ice cream. I could eat ice cream any day, even during winter, but nothing is better than ice cream during the summer. We were able to sit on a bench next to the mini-golf and watch other people while continuing to talk.
